A List of Stuff You Need In Order To Survive Outdoors

If you are someone who loves the outdoors and wants to spend significant time camping and mountain trekking in remote and isolated places, then you probably are aware how important it is to always bring the necessary survival gear in order to survive. Now the question is what should comprise this kit?

1 – Knife

Going to camping without a knife as part of your outdoor survival gear with you is simply dumb. A knife isn’t just for kitchen use; it in fact is an essential part of any survival gear. Well, the biggest reason why you must not go out there without arming yourself with a knife is because there are specific things it can do that no other outdoor survival gear can. This includes cutting rope, opening cans, building a shelter, preparing food, and cutting cloth and bandages.

2 – Rope

Rope is undoubtedly an essential part of any DIY survival gear. Keep in mind that when it comes to your chances of survival, the absence of a rope means that yours is very slim, unless of course you know how to make your own using stuff in the environment. The rope plays a very important role in a survival situation as it is used for so many different purposes, including that of building emergency shelters, fixing things, lashing poles, making animal traps, fishing, climbing, and making splints for injuries.

3 – Water Container

This one right here needs no explanation. One of the most important things you should know about survival is that an average person is able to last for several days without food as long as there is access to drinking water. That’s why if you plan on surviving out there, you must endure bringing with you a water bottle or any other container that can store water for drinking. Bear in mind that not all water you see outdoors is feasible for drinking.

4 – Equipment for Signaling

When you’re camping and you suddenly found yourself in a survival situation, one of the first things you need to be focusing on is establishing contact with people. The thing is if you let several days pass without doing something to make contact, your chances of being rescued will be decreased significantly. For you to be sure you have the ability to contact people for a possible rescue, you have to always bring with you a signaling device. A flashlight, mirror, whistle, or any other device that can produce either light or sound will be of great value. You just can forget bringing along a signaling equipment since it’s an essential tactical survival gear.

Aside from those four, there still are so many essential survival things you must bring with you if you want to be sure you’re safe out there, even in the middle of the most challenging survival situations.
